furniture: sandback

A brief reading of the about section at Sandback reveals the creative inspiration comes from three children who stick gum to the bottom of the tables they sell – reminding us that Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory graduates can also excel at sustainable furniture. These forces have conspired to make a beautiful table who’s pattern is designed of 5,800 nails and a funky drum table made of natural oak which can be personalized with any cool color you want on the base. The intriguing designs are composed of wood mixed elegantly at times with stone, and a creative use of color. This family owned business started in 1992 and their work is all made by hand in Harrisville, New Hampshire.
