“As an evolving studio, we are constantly working on new products and ideas. We are committed to a sustainable model of design and production.”

The story of Bushakan’s small range of accessory products is an amazing read through the influence of technology companies such as zaarly in the way products are brought to market, and with Kickstarter providing the venue for such products to be released, there’s a seeming revolution going on in the way things are being conceptualized, produced and subsequently purchased. Triggered by function – Lauren Van Horn was trying to find a glasses stand to buy for her husband and wasn’t able to find what she was thinking of – and was able to use the web to commission Tobi Adamolekun – an architect and entrepreneur. From here the two created a small company – Bushakan – and were able to obtain funding for production of their product after the successful reaction of others to the finished product. They now offer both glasses stands and trays and are working on more ideas having tapped into and provide another example of new ways to connect, make and sell.
