Flooring: BoleFloors

wood flooring by bolefloors

“It wasn’t nature that created straight floorboards: it was the limitations of technology. Bolefloor allows a return to a natural state: floors as nature intended.”

Dutch company Bolefloor have turned the idea of traditional straight floors around and into live edge flooring. Bole means trunk of the tree and by using scanners that identify imperfections in the raw material each board is placed through a process as unique as the wood itself. With applications across any design situation, the ability to be used for walls or ceilings, and with the further development of applications amongst furniture, Bolefloor is a technological innovation that castes aside homogenization to allow for a unique burst of creativity in any setting.
