“I love to explore the different possibilities of innovation and minimalism through my designs. I find it really important to think about the durability of any creations”
Thibaut Malet is a French designer from a family of carpenters who combines fun and imagination with minimal and sustainable design. Choosing wood for its infinite capacities his solutions seek to highlight the material and then focus on it’s ecological aspects – avoiding industrial screws for example and using wooden solutions instead. Believing design should optimize space and minimize the use of materials he chooses simple objects that show carefully worked details from conception all the way through packaging. His design skills have been applied to architecture, furniture as well as accessories with works that infuse personality and a quirkiness that’s all his own.
